The Ministry of Defence (MoD) on September 07, 2026, issued the Draft Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Cantonment Building Bye-Laws, 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Cantonment Building Bye-Laws, 2026 prescribe building construction and development requirements applicable within the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Cantonment.
•The Bye-Laws regulate building plans, setbacks, open spaces, parking, building height, room dimensions, ventilation, sanitation and other construction standards in accordance with the Cantonments Act, 2006 and National Building Code.
•They prescribe minimum front, side and rear setbacks based on plot size, along with specific requirements for archaeological zones and buildings near aerodromes.
•The Bye-Laws shall come into force upon their final publication in the Official Gazette by the Central Government.
Any person interested in making any objections or suggestions may be given in 30 days from September 18, 2026.
